The State of Kansas Department of Agriculture (KDA) is accepting applications for 2016 Fall Interns through the Governor's Internship Program. STEC Student Training and Education Program for 2017

The Executive Management Team is pleased to announce the call for proposals for the STEC Student Training and Education Program (STEP) interns for Spring, Summer and Fall 2017. Please note that this is the last call for internship proposals that will occur, since the STEC CAP grant will end November 30, 2017. The STEC STEP internship program is the flagship student program associated with our STEC STEP grant, and our success in training students from across the nation will be weighed heavily when assessing our ultimate success. Please consider submitting an internship project proposal for the spring, summer or fall semester. The due date for proposal submission by collaborators is August 15, 2016.

The collaborator STEC STEP internship proposal form can be found at our website (http://www.stecbeefsafety.org/internship-i) and attached to this email. Proposal submissions will be reviewed quickly after the deadline. We must post the accepted proposal projects on our website shortly thereafter to allow students from across the country to apply for preferred projects and locations. Student applications for Spring, Summer or Fall 2017 internships are due September 15, 2016. In addition to submitting your own proposal to host an intern, we ask you to encourage bright undergraduate and graduate students interested in food safety to apply for the posted STEC-STEP internships.
