The College of Agriculture as developed specific outcomes to evaluate students on specific skills developed during their education at Kansas State University.

Graduate Student Learning Outcomes - Ph D. and M. S. in Food Science - 2008

  • Students will demonstrate an advanced knowledge and understanding in an area of emphasis offered by the Food Science Graduate Program
  • Students will collect, analyze, and interpret data as it relates to the scholarship of the students' areas of emphasis
  • Students will demonstrate competency in scholarly writing and oral communication by writing a doctoral dissertation, M.S. thesis or M.S. report and presenting it to a committee of professors in their field, or, if in a non - thesis/report option, by presenting an original scientific seminar and passing an oral exam.
